TVR’s SPACES collection is based on geometric patterns created from virtual images of 3D architecture, which have been rendered in 2D rugs. The combination of 3D architectural lines and abstract colour patterns is very innovative and results in a unique depth and immersive feeling TVR designs are known for.
The creative process at the origin of these designs took two and a half years, as the designer needed time to reflect on the future for modern design in luxury hand-knotted rugs. With this new collection, however, Thibault Van Renne succeeded in establishing the brand’s DNA, while staying ahead of competitor brands through a distinctive design language, characterised by refined detail, soft yet vivid colours, unique colour flow and typically only the best quality materials available on the market.
The rugs are woven in almost 200,000 knots per m2 in India and Nepal; the materials used are hand-carded and hand-spun wool from India and Tibet, combined with natural, hand-spun silk. All TVR rugs are made according to fair trade principles and to ECO values, using only natural materials that are dyed with dyes that respect the environment.
These incomparable rugs can be ordered in every size and shape, a typical TVR process.
